Planned features in future versions of MusicVault
The list is compiled from suggestions from users and is rated from the top
down, meaning that the most wanted features is at the top of the list.
The free version
- A speed button to quickly swap name-artist to artist-name in the filename.
- A possibility to play songs directly from the CD (will give the original
burned tag information in the player though...)
- Remove the play panel if there is no MP3-player found
- The path to the music file should be displayed in the status bar at the
bottom when a file is selected
- A progress indicator for functions that takes time
- An option to scroll the selected song or the complete window with the mouse
wheel
- An option to choose if the program should start in vault-view or harddrive-view
- Possibility to create and delete directories in harddrive-view
- An indication of the fastcopy and fastmove directories in harddrive-view
- Possibility to get statistics for selected/viewed files
- A marked song should have it's cathegories checked on the fastmenu
- Information could be retrieved from a found ID3v2-tag (other support for
ID3v2 only in the registered version)
- A fastmenu choice in harddrive-view named "Add to vault" should
appear when the vault is a harddrive vault.
- Force changes to harddrive - Performs changes on a harddrive vault on the
actual files.
- A choice if sub-directories should be searched when searching in harddrive-view
- An "undo" function for the last action
- Remember the search list after the program have been closed
The registered version
- Support for ID3v2
- Support for other players
- Support for Album-files with images of the CD and the complete song list
- Export of lists as HTML, text or Spreadsheet
- "Smart copy" of files that creates sub-directories with artists,
albums and so on
- "Smart copy" of files so that only a certain size (640 MB, 700MB,
etc..) can be put into one directory, to help making CD's
- Posibillity to cathegorize files at the harddrive with special cathegory
files that will follow onto the CD's
